Title I Meeting – April 19, 2021
YORK PUBLIC SCHOOLS
1715 N. Delaware Avenue York, NE 68467
Schools in communities that meet certain income requirements can use Federal Title I money for the entire school. This is called a school-wide program. It helps a school provide more opportunities for all of its students instead of just those that qualify for services.
YES became eligible for this school-wide title program in 2010. This means that all children have access to academic support as needed and determined by the teaching staff. As a part of the Title I Nebraska State Regulations, the school district holds an annual public meeting for parents of all children who participate in the Title I program.
You are invited to attend a public meeting at the District Office (1715 N. Delaware) on the east side of the high school campus on Monday, April, 19th at 4:00 p.m. The Title I program will be explained and discussed at this meeting and our Title I staff will attempt to answer any questions you may have.
If your child is receiving additional reading support outside the classroom from any of our Title I teachers, this meeting may be more applicable to you. Our Title I teachers include Amy Vernon, Cheryl Gardner, Jen Bartholomew, Allison Snodgrass, and Judy Danielson.
