Special Education Teacher

York Public Schools, a Class B district just 45 minutes west of Lincoln, is looking for two outstanding teachers in the area of Special Education to work with special education students with either an emphasis on life skills or supporting ELA and math needs of resource students.

We plan to conduct interviews in late January or early February. We encourage those with the following endorsements to apply:  K-12 special education generalist or other qualified degrees to work with special education students in the above-listed capacity. Grade level placement (preK-5,6-8,9-12) to be determined at a later date. Candidates who are provisionally endorsed, or eligible for a provisional endorsement will also be considered.

Director of Transportation

York Public Schools is seeking a Director of Transportation.  The Director of Transportation is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position that includes a very competitive fringe benefits package – health, dental, disability, life insurance, and retirement.

The Transportation Director will direct and manage the district’s transportation and vehicle maintenance program, oversee the maintenance of all district-owned vehicles, ensure safe and efficient operation of the transportation department. The Director is also responsible for the planning, development, and coordination of all busing services for the district.

The Director is expected to operate daily with integrity, support organizational goals, demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate others, and communicate effectively.
